Philomena Njeri Mwaura (Kenya) is a senior lecturer in religious studies at Kenyatta University, Kenya, teaching in the areas of African Christian history and theology, new religious movements and African instituted churches, the development of Christian doctrine, world Christianity and religion, and gender. She is the African region coordinator of the Theology Commission of the Ecumenical Association of Third World Theologians (EATWOT). Mwaura is the current president of the International Association for Mission Studies (IAMS) and has published several articles in journals and books on women and religion in the African context.
