The International Standardisation Organisation ISO just released a new technical report ISO/TR 11360:2010, Nanotechnologies – Methodology for the classification and categorization of nanomaterials. This report introduces a nano-tree like structure for classifying different types of nanomaterials as a step towards global standards enabling adaptation of legislation for nanomaterials when appropriate.
